It is the recirc door and I correct the info in the post.

Not sure what you mean now. You get hot air from the lower vents when a high temperature is selected , or always? And only when driving?

Re: Heater/AC blend doors

Ever since i replace the thermostat to clear my OBD code i have started to get hot air from a/c's lower vents where the throttle and brake pedal are same for the passenger side and it happens when am driving and i don't have the a/c on, its off. this use to happen before i had replace the thermostat when i would drive on the freeway, it was the only time the car got to hot enough by the way the code was P1281 Engine is Cold Too Long

Re: Heater/AC blend doors

If a blend door is stuck in any position but closed, for sure you will get warm/hot air from the outlets which are selected. When you drive, there is some pressure buildup in front of the jeep, which can cause some airflow inside the cabin. Previously you didnīt feel it that much, since the air was cold, but with the new thermostat you will get warm/hot air even when driving in town.
If you donīt want this airflow, you could select recirculation mode. (so not sure if it stays in recirculation when the AC is switched off)

Re: Heater/AC blend doors

They used to make a kit for them, don't know if they still do or not, last time I knew they did.

Re: Heater/AC blend doors

They do make the kit still but am going for the full fix with the dual blend doors working plus i don't think there's a kit to fix the re-circulation door.
