HVAC Blower

I have a 2000 Grand Cherokee Limited. The heater fan sounds like it is running but I have little to no air coming out of the vents. I recently replaced my battery and the vehicle was sitting for 2 days without a battery. I wonder if the fan could be running backwards?

Re: HVAC Blower

Welcome to the garage.
Sitting without a battery will not do anything to the blower motor rotation. The blower motor controller was not changed lately?
Other then that, the only thing i can come up with is the recirculation door, which can be laying on top of the blower. Remove the blower motor and look up. If you see the door, try to move it up by hand. If it does without much force, the door hinge is broken and the door blocks the blower outlet.

Re: HVAC Blower

Thanks for your response. The controller has not been changed. I do not drive this car everyday and the HVAC issue just happened after I replaced the battery and I am trying to think of anything that could have caused this, of course coincidences do happen it could be anything.
Thanks again.

Re: HVAC Blower

mine was the blend doors...dual climate. I cut into the hvac housing behind the glove box...there's a guide online how to do that. then in the winter I go in there and use some really good tape like the foil duct tape to tape the doors up and tape up the section of housing when I put it back on. in the summer I take the door tape back off so the doors fall down and then I'll get cold air. LOL. It's pretty easy and MUCH cheaper than actually fixing them. haha, but my poor cheap is living on borrowed time now anyhow.
