I'm Sure This Has Been Asked Before!

Hey Everyone!
I have a '99 Grand Cherokee Laredo, and the rear hatch won't open. As I understand it, there is a lock/unlock switch on the actuator itself but I cannot seem to find it through the small access panel on the inner door. Did any of these come without the switch on the actuator? Am I just not reaching it? I can open the hatch by pulling the inner hatch cover back and sticking a 1/2" wrench into the lever mechanism, but if there is indeed a switch, it would make it ALLOT easier! Also, is there any way to open the glass potion of the hatch without being able to unlock the actuator?

Thanks in advance!!!

There is no switch to open the rear hatch, but there is a small mechanical unlock lever, which you have to pull. Its kind a hard to see it and you just have to search around with your finger to find it.
The flipglass has no mechanical backup as far as i know.

There are better and also worse places to stick your finger in.
