Jeep 2004 Grand Cherokee Limited - Side Mirror

I have a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited, which Drivers side mirror cracked.
I have researched and saw how to replace the entire mirror. Can the glass be replaced without taking the door panel off?

Thanks

Verone

Welcome to the garage.
Yes, the mirror glass can be replaced separately. It seems that instructions on how to come with the replacement glass. You can do this with the mirror in place.

Yes, the mirror can be replaced by itself. Its actually really easy to get the glass off, just nerve racking. All you need to do it get a flat head screw driver and pry the glass VERTICAL and not out. Its held on by 3 or 4 (can't remember) clips. It also helps to tilt the glass top out and bottom in. Keeps it from wanting to pop out instead of up. I'll see if i can't dig up some pictures of the backside so you can see.

Here is the write up I did for some LED arrows behind the side mirror glass. The 2nd and 3rd picture show the backside and you can see the 4 small clips on it and on the motor on one of the later posts...
