Re: Keeping the Jeep

If you are thinking about changing the color of your interior check out this thread from tahoeyukonforum http://tahoeyukonforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=684

Its a long read but in the end he does a change to black, including seats with white inserts and stiching. He goes pretty in-depth about what it takes to prep and paint the plastics of the interior. This was done in a tahoe, but the same would apply.

Needless to say they didn't make 00-06 Tahoes with black interiors.

ill make sure to check if they are deteriorated but im sure they are being 10 yrs old lol

2. Yeah, definitely look into sealants. Poorboys EX-P, Meguairs #22 (IIRC), Zaino Z2-PRO, etc. If you do go for wax though, I'd get a bottle of Meguairs #7 Show Car Glaze, it is amazing on light colors!!!

3. Just do it and put it into pictures!!
i will my plan is to get most of all this done by this year and audio would be one of the last things i do

4. Is that for 4 or per shock. I'm not going to buy them ATM as I'm recovering from the amount of cash I've wasted on the brakes but they are next on my list - then its more power.
all 4 what do you plan on getting?

5. Check car-part.com and eBay regularly, some junk yard may just under-estamte the value. I have the RB-3 which is the export version and although I love how it fits in, I wish I had a 7" flip-out number for iPod integration with full on album art etc too though. Burning CDs every month or so gets boring.
true i didnt think of that, i use the cassete and connect into my ipod with the wires hidden nicely

what modification do you think i would have to make for it fit?

btw just found this for you... says its compatiable with navigation...

Yeah, there is a Mopar kit for these headunits too. Problem is on the RB-3 it just says CD03 (as in playlist 3 of 10), Tr 59 (out of 99).

I'd love to have artist name and song title (which the RB-1 does) but also have the album art on show too. Better navigation around the playlists would be nice too, so would the ability to watch movies.

Nice, good job ant. I was looking for the name of that material. I am interested in this, since my dad has major migranes - this would be amazing for him

Re: Keeping the Jeep

Just FYI. I painted the calibers on my White Challenger White and ended up not liking them. They look great for a while. Then they get dirty pretty quickly and are not the easiest thing to clean. Just my $0.02
