Key

Hi Guys,
I am at my wits end. My 02 Grand will start for 3 seconds and die. No instruments, fuel, tach, etc... The Driver door windows won't control anything. Driver door lock controls the driver, no others. Key is illuminated on dash? I have searched all wires in the door panel and between vehichle, no breaks. Continuity is good, 12 volt tester says ground is good on both sides and in panel? Can my key just go bad? I have unhooked battery and let set overnite. Have no scanner and Jeep is stranded in driveway. I am thinking have to tow to dealer and see if a new key can be programmed?
Jimmy

Yes your key can go bad. If you have two good keys you can order online and program it yourself after cutting at the hardware store...if you only have one you get to go the dealer route...
