Multiple Problems for 99 & 03

Been looking for answers but can't find what I'm looking for.

1st-have a 99 Grand Cherokee 4.0 that overheats when standing still. Fan not kicking on when it's supposed to. Replaced relay, still not fixed. Now the 03 (same motor) is doing it too. Any advice?

2nd-Temperature display on roof console for 99 says open circuit?

3rd-What replacement window regulators do you recommend? Bought a Dorman last time. Cable frayed, here we go again.

Re: Multiple Problems for 99 & 03

You did check the respective fuses to start with? Did you check the fan itself if its working ok? Sometimes the fan is drawing too much current, fraying the new relay in no time. Did the fan work after changing the relay?

The temperature display problem is most probably the temperature sensor at the right side of the cooling radiator (you can see it through the cooling grill opening), or wiring.

yep check your fan operation, I find it pretty common for the fans on WJ's with blown relays to draw way too much current (likely what induced the failure in the fan). You may have a bad fan that has now taken out your new relay too.
