Unhappy Need your help!

Ok,

A couple of nights ago I drove through a large puddle (I know!), now the Jeep has developed some strange problems.

1. Windows do not work? or mirrors!
2. Drivers side front and rear door locks don't work?
3. Instument lights have to be on the lowest setting or the internal lights are on?
4. Heads up display says drivers door is open?
5. HAVAC when Hi Cold air? When Low hot air?

I have checked all the fuses! Etc.

Any idea's???

Rgs

Jason

Re: Need your help!

Door locks and windows inop and interior lights on = broken wire in the drivers door rubber boot. Normally its the thick black wire.
About the airco i'm not sure, i would do the HVAC calibration which you can find on WJJeeps.com - Jeep Grand Cherokee WJ 1999-2004

Re: Need your help!

Hi Frank,

Funny, I was just reading some of your replies about the BLACK wire issue in the troubleshooting section!

Many thanks!

As for the Aircon, hoping it is a side affect of the PCI bus and the black wire?

Re: Need your help!

The thick black wire is a ground wire when i'm not wrong. It is just too rigid and after opening/closing the door many times, it will just snap. You have to loosen the boot on one side, so that you can have a look into it. Not too easy to see and when you don't see any broken wire, you would have to pry the wires a bit with your finger, because it could be an internal breakage with the isolation still intact.
