Re: Never ever again!

After reading your post I can almost see the relief on your face from NY. Too bad that Mr. Murphy always has to show up I thought he liked my house only

The last time it did this, I let it set for a few days and when it finally started, I check the windows and the driver side regulator broke(plastic cable block). Put the new one in last week. Wellllllllllllll, after it started today, checked the windows and take a WILD guess what happened to the passengers window. HAHAHAHA I love being me, it makes life an adventure. Thanks again fellas
Not sure if they still make them, but there was an aluminum block available to replace the plastic one, which is prone to break. The cable should be in a good state and not bend. If you are interrested i can try to find that site again.

Re: Never ever again!

Just outside of New Albany here. Frango, the block is $30 and I can buy the whole regulator for $40. If the original plastic one lasted 14 years, I'm fine with that lol

Looking for another thread, I started reading this one. Glad you got your Jeep hopefully fixed! I live just passed Floyd Central HS. Do you have a dealer preference around here? We just moved here a year ago.

Re: Never ever again!

Cant say I have a dealer preference. I usually buy parts online and try to do the work myself. If I have problems I come in here, these guys know their stuff. Oh, by the way, Howdy neighbor. I live in Edwardsville. We're only a few miles apart. Man, if you'd have moved here about 10 yrs ago I could show you some nice caves in the Harrison co. forestry. They have them all shut down because of some white nose disease humans were spreading to the bats.

Re: Never ever again!

So far so good. Went around the windshield gasket and any place that looked suspect, I sealed with some good silicone. I even ran a small bead under the entire top lip of the gasket and wiped of any excess, can't even see it. I checked the body seams near the firewall and under the wiper cowl. Didn't see anything that looked like it could be the leak but any seam the didn't have sealer oozed out got filled. All drain holes got checked and cleaned. Cross your fingers, its supposed to storm tonight.

Re: Never ever again!

Also check the grommet where the antenna lead where it enters the body behind the passenger fender liner. When I had a leak that's where it was. Water was running down the cable through the bad grommet.
