New owner - electrical help required

Hi all,

Just purchased a 2003 grand cherokee limited 2.7crd here in the UK.

Drives really well but I have found a few issues during my first weeks of ownership and would like help/advice.

Firstly, I have I think an electrical issue in that when I turn the car off and lock up, the clock display (in the radio) stays on, as do the back lights for the electric window buttons. I have already had a flat battery so replaced it but have the same symptoms.

Any suggestions as to where to check?

Also, my fuel gauge is really inaccurate. I first filled it from quarter full and it took nearly £80 to fill. Then I filled it from almost empty and it took only £60 to fill??????

Thanks in advance.

Michael

Check if the key can be removed in ACC position, it should not be possible. For now you can solve the problem by looking that it is not in ACC when removing the key.

The right position to remove the key is the before last position, then all users are off, besides BCM.
