Question Newbie

Hey all, New to the Site, Have a WJ that I need to spend some time on. Looking to get rid of a front end shimmy when going over rough roads and the steering whines when I turn either way. I would also like to level it off.
I think I'll need a steering box for the whine, if the steering stabilizer is bad would that account for the shimmy?

Thanks

Re: Newbie

Steering whine is normally caused by the power steering pump. Could be air in the system, or the pump going out.
Shimmy could be less with a good steering stabilizer, but also play in the different steering arms, rods and or balljoints can cause shimmy/wobble.
