Next Upgrades??

Just wonderin what you guys think I should do next. Here's what I HAVE

K&N Cold Air Intake
Flowmaster 70 Series muffler and tip
Alpine door speakers, 2 12" Kenwood Subs, Kenwood head
Red accent interior lighting
Projector Gen 3 headlights with 6000K Hids
LED 3rd tail light

I had the LED tails but they were acting up so I'm probably going to order OEM ones, install LED reverse bulbs and probably do the quad tail light mod.

So, here's what I'd like to do in the next couple months

Bilstein shocks all around
R1 concepts rotors and pads, red painted calipers (match the car)
New subs, amp and head
basic bull bar (just for looks)?
crossbars
And maybe this summer get some 17" jk rubicons, but thats awhile from now.

So, what do you guys think? I also have been looking at the freedom edition wj and I really like the way the nerf bars, or whatever you call them, look on the jeep. Except, I cant find them anywhere. Oh, and where can I pick up a nice shorty antenna?

And one more question. This has been bothering me since I got the car last year. When I'm driving (speeds above 45mph) it sounds as if air is trying to get in through the window. I don't really know how to describe. It's most prominent in the passenger side window, but happens to my drivers side one too. I'm going to guess it's something to do with the weather stripping but I've checked it multiple times and can't find anything wrong. It's just annoying to constantly hear it and have every person that I drive try to roll the window up thinking its slightly open. haha

Re: Next Upgrades??

my 04 did the same thing untill i replaced the weather stripping. for me it was the stripping on the outside of the driver and passenger door bottom of window. dealer wanted 68 bucks A PEICE. i gotta deal for 38 each from my buddie who owns a jeep dealer so i went ahead and replaced all four of them, mine where all rusted out and flaking and peeling up like most wjs do.

That's what I figured it would be but the stripping looks fine to me. No cracking etc. I might get around to replacing it sometime in the spring.

Re: Next Upgrades??

I am new to the forum and am looking around to see whats best for upgrading lighting. Highs/lows/and fogs. Seems like a lot of people are happy with XenonDepot but seems they are only through ebay? Is that right? I have an 04 WJ and am going to start putting some money into her. Chief is your interior lighting plug and play?

Re: Next Upgrades??

To the OP...I can't say enough good things about the Bilstien shocks and the Addco sway bars as far as handling goes. If you NEED brakes, then do that upgrade first, but if you don't, you'll really like the feel of the new Bilstiens. Swaybars can always come later.

Kgalzara...XenonDepot is a vendor on this site. If you go to the main forum page and scroll down, you'll find them in the vendor section. You get a forum discount. You can also google XenonDepot and their site (kbcarstuff) will come up. You can also order from there. The customer service is awesome and the products are very good quality. I'm running 2 HID kits from them (one in my lows and one in my fogs) and have had zero issues.

So you returned them? What problems were you having with them?

Re: Next Upgrades??

Everytime I turn the blinker on not only does that specific blinker blink but so do both tail lights. When I put it in reverse only one light comes on and the third tail light comes on faintly. They offered me an exchange but I'd have to pay shipping to them and back (they quoted me $60). I decided I'm not paying $60 to get something I paid $170 for to work like it was suppose to. Plus, honestly, I thought they looked out of place on mine (since my WJ is red), they just didn't look right.

Re: Next Upgrades??

Get your stockers tinted...I love mine.

And your 3rd brake issue is probably a crossed wire. At least that's what mine was. I have an LED one and the polarity needed to be switched and I think I had to install a resistor in line up there to keep it from lighting up when I'd use my signals.

That's a shame . How were they in terms of brightness? I would still like to get them but I wonder if the issues could be fixed with wiring?

They were bright at night but in the day, so so. One thing I noticed (and many others told me) is that one will look brighter than the other if ur not directly behind (in the middle) of the car, if you know what I'm saying. The problem could probably be fixed with wiring but I didn't want to take the chance to take it apart and rewire just for it not to work and them not to accept the refund.
