no spark in fuel injectors

I have a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee limited last year I fixed a fuel leak from gas line going to fuel filter. Now there is no power going to the fuel injectors. Im thinking of replacing the crankshaft position sensor. I need to get my baby running again replaced almost all of the front sespension last year.

Re: no spark in fuel injectors

Welcome to the garage.
I would first check fuse # 6 and # 26 in the PDC under the hood. If ok, then swap the auto shutdown relay with a same relay in the PDC.

Re: no spark in fuel injectors

Hi, I checked the #6 & #26 fuses. #6 had power #26 didnt have any power either #28. Could it be the computer or could it be a ground problem? I turned the ignition key 3 times and these codes showed up P 1388 & 0320???

Re: no spark in fuel injectors

Ok, the P1388 is a failure in the auto shutdown relay control circuit. Also the fact that you have power at fuse #6, but not at fuse #26, shows that the ASD relay is not energized. Did you try and swap this relay first? Just use an other same relay from the PDC, just for trouble shooting purposes. If an other relay fixes the problem, you will have to change the broken relay.
The P0320 code shows that there is a fault in the crank sensor circuit, but i would first see if solving the ASD relay problem will not solve both problems .

Re: no spark in fuel injectors

I swapped the two big relays that are in there and nothing happened. There was still no power.

Re: no spark in fuel injectors

The ASD relay control power comes from fuse #12 on the junction block under the steering wheel area. This same fuse is used for the fuel pump relay control. This fuse will only have power in start and run.
If there is power, then for some reason the PCM is not making the ground path for the relay to energize. Then check the PCM fuse, #19, in the PDC.
Be aware that if the engine doesn´t run, that the ASD relay will be de-energized after a few seconds and that you loose the power at fuse #26. So you need to measure the power with the help from someone who can switch the ignition in run, while you measure.
