Re: no warm air

No warm air at all out of any of the vents?

Have you checked the driver's and passenger's side vents? If one's warm and the other is cold, blend door.

Is the coolant heating up after driving? If not, thermostat could be stuck open. If the coolant is not heating up, you won't get warm air.

Re: no warm air

none of the vents are warm. The thermostat reads that it is warming up

Re: no warm air

Feel with your hands if the hoses going to the heater core are hot. Donīt know exactly how they run on the 4.0, but you must be able to see them under the hood. If they stay cool with the engine hot, there can be some kind of blockage in the lines or a blocked heater core. If they are hot, you could have a problem with the blend door actuator. You have the manual system i presume?
How is the engine cooling liquid temperature?

Re: no warm air

My hoses are hot, have the sloshing sound in the passenger side, and luke warm air. Is there a possibility that the temperature control is going bad? Is there a way I can test that?

@Redcivic47: Are you jdb2797? Or are you someone else with the same problem?

sloshing sound indicates air in the system pull up on a incline and pull the radiator cap off and let it run.

the idea is the air will run to the highest point in the system.

had the same issue i back flushed the heatercore and purged of air.

Park up on oil changing ramps or on a incline pop the hood pull the radiator cap give the hoses a good squeeze and rev the motor once or twice.

This works for the 4.0L for sure
