Oil leak

Hi all
My 2001 WJ V8 has developed an oil leak. Not much but needs sorting out.
It is coming from the left side not the oil filter side. The engine mount is covered and it looks like it coming from above the mount towards the front. The rocker cover looks ok but difficult to see without removing the battery tray and a load of other gear.

Any clues would be appreciated, is there a common place for leaks. Don't want to send it to the shop unless I have to.

Cheers
Jon

Re: Oil leak

You will have to clean the area well and then look after a bit of driving if you can see the source. Airflow during driving can move the oil up or away from the source, so you will have to look well.

Re: Oil leak

the only oil leak i've had from my jeep came from the oil sending unit. might check that, but on mine it was pretty much dripping on the ground near center of motor if I remember correctly.
