Re: PCM for 2003 GC Laredo 4.7

"When trying to start my Jeep, it only cranks and then after a few seconds a key with a cross through it appears on the dash.

I had the car towed to a dealer who diagnosed it as the PCM, but a new one is just way to expensive for me, hence looking for another one.

Apparently the PCM does not send the signals to the SKIM module anymore to deactivate the immobilizer."

Have you tried to see if the key is loose in the ignition housing?
I have a similar problem with my WJ in that, I have some key play in the ignition which is enough to not engage the key when I turn it over. I just make sure that when turning the key it makes a solid contact for it to work.

There is some play yes. but it has never caused a problem. I have ensured thought that it makes solid contact while trying to start.

Update : The dealer reflashed my PCM with the 'code' of another similar WJ. So far so good !!!!
