Re: PO455 DCP valve

Crap wish I would have seen your post about the TPS before I placed my rock auto order. :-(

Re: PO455 DCP valve

You can send it back, email rock auto and they will email you a return slip.

Re: PO455 DCP valve

Regarding the O2 sensors, jeeps like the original Densoīs the most. Eventhough Bosch is a very good brand, they heat up too slow in many cases (for our jeeps) and you will end up with O2 heater codes.
And regarding the TPS, i think you didnīt order it yet, isnīt it? Rockauto doesnīt have the OEM TPS, so you better buy OEM from some place.
Sorry i didnīt tell you before, but when you google " Rockauto discount code" you will get some 5% discount codes to use when buying.

Re: PO455 DCP valve

Right. I just ordered the half shaft and the 02 sensor. I have denso 02 sensor coming. Am aware that people who have tries bosch have had problems. I did not order the TPS. But I'm curious to know why if I have a p206 code it's the TPS and not injector #6. ??

Re: PO455 DCP valve

Iīm not sure on this one, because the times i had seen it before, several injector circuit faults where indicated and not only one. But when the TPS goes bad, it can start generating an electrical noise signal on the power line which the PCM interprets as an injector circuit fault.
This one and 31 other many times occuring faults you can also find here: 32 Problems and Suggested fix

Re: PO455 DCP valve

Hey that list offered some help. I have noticed during times the jeep didn't want to start that the battery gauge was below 14. Although not all the way to left. And I'm pretty sure my battery is good. It was replaced last year with a $150 interstate. I hadn't noticed what the fuel gauge does at that time but I will the next time I have a no start. If it turns out to be TPS I wi definitely get the mopar one. Does the same rules apply to crank sensor as well? Mopar only or are aftermarket ones ok here? Jeep goes to shop in a week so if I don't have it figured out then my mechanic will put it on the computer. Thanks for the info. I have to say that this site has been of great value to me the past few years. I've done a lot of work on my jeep myself thanks to the info here. Saving myself quite a bit of $. :-)

Re: PO455 DCP valve

A fully charged battery should read 12.7 V half an hour after engine shutdown. Once engine runs is should go to 13.5-14.5 V.
Indeed better to use OEM sensors for crank and/or cam as well.
