Unhappy Popping codes left and right.

Currently have a code P0358, previous codes include 1391,207,etc. Jeep running rough at idle, higher rpm seems better. Have replaced crank and cam sensors, IAC, TPS, air temp sensor. Would eliminate one code another would pop up. Thinking I might have a bad PCM. Anyone have any other ideas?

Re: Popping codes left and right.

I would first swap the ignition coil #8 with an other cylinder and see if the fault follows. If it does, most probably the coil is faulty. If it doesn´t, I would expect or wiring, or the PCM itself.

Unhappy Re: Popping codes left and right.

Frank, thanks did that also checked for power at connection AC and DC current, nothing when cranking motor or short to ground. Previous code was p0207, fixed that then another code would come up such as p0358 or p1391. Every time I fix something, seems like another code pops that I'd not seen before. Other than a bad pcm anything else you think of that might be causing all these issues.

Re: Popping codes left and right.

Any noise in the engine? Slapping or sloppy timing chain perhaps? Or try inspecting, cleaning and lubricating PCM connectors. Be sure the female pins in the connectors are not spread open causing loose fit. Also check ALL grounds associated with PCM and engine including the battery grounds ( engine and body )...some sensors share grounds and some also share reference voltage...

Re: Popping codes left and right.

Thanks Bill, looked at all that already, engine is a rebuild and never had any problems with this guy. Like I said at higher rpms engine runs just a little rough, as soon as I let go of throttle dies, pops codes. Fix or resolve code another comes up. Pretty sure the PCM is fried ordered remanufactured unit will see what that does.
