Power steering pump overhaul

Can the above be done or must i buy new. I cured an excesive leak at the shaft by drilling a hole in the cap to relieve pressure. Now it only drips after driving but I will have to fix it at some stage.

Re: Power steering pump overhaul

You can buy a power steering pump repair kit, with a bearing and all seals. Quite cheap, so i think its worth a try. The power steering pump pulley is not reusable, so you will have to put that into the equation as well. (repair kit is around USD 10-14 and a pulley USD 15 at Rockauto.com. A new or remanufactured pump also mostly doesn´t come with pulley)
