Re: Problem starting Jeep

sounds like the o ring in the fuel pump line. mine has just started doing this. Wife had a problem starting it up after work. i told her to give it a small bit of pedal and bam fired up. i been reading around and it is a small oring that goes bad and needs to be replaced it leaks the gas back into the tank rather than send it thro, thats why when you touch the pedal more gas goes which fires it up. might as well put a new pump in also if you do this. i will be

hope it helps

Re: Problem starting Jeep

Yeah, if the battery isn't bad I'd definetly agree with the fuel pump.

We had a *cough* Freelander *cough* at work that had the same problem although a fair bit worse than that and a new pump sorted it out - well until the turbo went, then a sensor then well, the list goes on. The guys at work have the nerve to call them Jeeps too just because they're 4WDs, that really gets on my nerves...
