Problems with my jeep

Hello, can anyone help please? I have a 2001 jeep grand Cherokee 4.7 limited. I have three major problems with it, firstly I am losing coolant, approximately 2 litres per month, I can't find the leak. Also after I have had the air con on I can get a few drips of water inside of the car on the passenger side when i drive around a corner. Thirdly the drivers seat front framing has snapped. Anyone else with these problems and any suggestions. Thanks col

Re: Problems with my jeep

Hi col and welcome! 1.Check your oil If its milky it could be a head gasket. Also watch front of motor when running focusing on bottom of water pump. Sometimes the gasket can go bad and coolant drips down and evaporates quickly. 2.Sounds like the HVAC drain is clogged.Located on bottom of blower housing 3. Re: Problems with my jeep

If you really canīt find any external leak, there is a good change that you have problems with your head gasket. The coolant will flow trough the small opening in the gasket into the combustion chamber after switching off the engine ( cooling system is pressurized, so the cooling liquid can flow into the cylinder until the pressure has dropped). You can recognize this when you pull the plugs and the plug of the leaking cylinder is normally washed. If you wonīt see any difference, only a compression check would point out the problem cylinder. There are some cases of cylinder head electrolitical corrosion, where pitts in the head created a path for the liquid to leak through.
