No, I had to buy a kit from the dealer. It only comes with the cover and not the actual housing. Not very expensive thou....

Yeah as mon_21 said, the cabin air filter was an accessory, that could be purchased at the dealer or someplace like Justforjeeps.com .

Here is a link: http://www.justforjeeps.com/airfipaca.html

I bought one when I got my Overland, I have mixed feelings about if it is really worth having.

I drove my 2000 Laredo 280,000 miles with out one, and it was just fine. Now it is just one more thing that I have to service once or twice a year. The replacment filters can sometimes be found at Pep Boys or other auto parts stores though.

It is supposed to keep the evaporator cleaner so less chance of mold and stink, and longer life of the A/C system.

Re: Replaced Cabin Filter

JustForJeeps has the cheapest kits that I've been able to find. But you can find just the filter somewhere else online for about $20.

Hey Ramon where did you get that wiper arm puller? I need one of those.

Dave, if I'm not mistaken, I got it from Advanced Auto.

Re: Replaced Cabin Filter

They are not factory in the WJ but the set up is available thru any dealer and not very expensive. It makes an incredible difference. The normal dust build up in the vents and dashboard is nearly eliminated.

Re: Replaced Cabin Filter

I'm most certain mine has never been replaced and have been looking at this as a potential project for a while now. I just might finally have to do it.

Re: Replaced Cabin Filter

The kit's $65 thru Mopar but I'm sure there are better deals out there.

On ebay you can get them for 45 dollars. But make sure to get the KIT if you have never done it before. The stock housing that comes with your WJ has to be discarded.
And I always check the "free shipping" box at the bottom of the list.

I think I'm just going to order from JfJ.

Re: Replaced Cabin Filter

I did this a month or so ago...very simple...and cheap insurance in my opinion. I'd rather do this every few months than replace an evap coil like I did in my old XJ...that was not a fun project.
