Right Front, Srange whizzing.

Hey Guys, hope ya'll could help me once again. I have a strange whizzing/whirring sound, seems to be comming from the right front. If you have ever put a put a blade of grass in between your thumbs and blew or blew up a ballon and pulled the "intake " tight as the air slowly escaped, you'll have a good idea of the sound. It starts right around 20mph and stops about the same speed. It doesn't seem to get louder as speed increases, does not increase or decrease when in neutral. Does not seem to change if brakes are applied. If I put the vechicle in park, all is well while reving motor.

Im stumped. What are your ideas?

Re: Right Front, Srange whizzing.

I,m leaning toward the wheel bearing/hub assembly. Haven't got a chance to put it up on the jack yet, will do in the morning. Hopefully it will be pretty staight forward swap. i just changed my brother-in-laws a couple weeks ago on his 06 impalla. hopefully it'll be same principle. Guess I'll try to do both while I'm in to it. I got his done in just under 2 hrs. Only one hub assembly, but both front rotors and pads also.

It was the wheel hub assembly. Changed both. Wasn't too aggrivating. took about 3 hrs. The jeep really feels good now. 170,000 miles on it, they looked like the original hubs. Both were in bad shape, only the right front was making noise.
