Rough idle

Hi All, I am after info as to what is causing my 2.7crd WJ to idle rough. When I start it it idles as though it is running on 4 cyl only. The tacho goes all over the place. If I raise the idle by the pedal there is still that feeling of running on 4 cyls not 5.
A static test (ign on/off etc shows only a P0700 fault which is a Trans code.I know about that as it appears every so often.
My local auto elec scanned it with his generic scantool and he says that it is the Camshaft position sensor, I don't think that is causing my problem.
