Shake from front end

Hi, new here and after some advice....
i have a 99 JGC Limited 4.0, and the issue i have is a shake (vibration) from the front end when i ease off of the accelerator. when i am driving at 70 on the motorway, it is barely noticeable, but when i ease off i get a shake from the front end, the lower the speed, the less noticeable it is. any ideas??
Thanks, Dean

Re: Shake from front end

Welcome to the garage.
Where do you feel the vibration the most, in the steering wheel, with your foot?
Was anything changed lately? I would start with checking the wheel balance.

Re: Shake from front end

First I'd have my tires balanced again. Next I'd change the steering stabilizer. I'm assuming your brakes and rotors are ok?

Re: Shake from front end

Thanks for the replies. i mainly feel it through the floor, and it all started when i had my rear tyres changed, but the problem seems to be coming from the front!!

Re: Shake from front end

Didn't they do a tire balancing on all tires? I would start with that again.

Re: Shake from front end

I had all 4 wheels balanced, and for good measure rotated them all - still no joy, also, when I heard the noise, I changed from drive to neutral, and the noise and vibration stayed.
thanks, Dean.

Re: Shake from front end

Did you check for play on the wheel bearings and in the driveline? The propellor shafts are balanced and have some balance weights added to them (on mine they seem to be welded on). I would expect vibration all the time when you would loose one, but you never know.
Also check the diff fluid level and if there is any metal glinsters in the fluid (after a short drive, to have it all stirred well)
