Get a written PARTS AND LABOR quote. There might be some parts that can be used again. You can shop around and see if some of your parts can be salvaged. On my 04 42RE I paid $450 for seals, bearings and pads. The parking brakes were ok.

Had my trusted mechanic take a look-see and he said just the seal and bearings need to be replaced. Man, I hate the chains that act alarmist about everything!
