squeeling blower motor??

after jeep has been running a while, something under passenger dash area starts chirping and then squeeling. If I turn off the blower for a couple minutes and turn it back on, it stops squeeling for a while, but will start again. I'm assuming this is my blower motor going bad. Agreed???
So now, how difficult of a job is it to change the blower motor? I looked up the part on Rock Auto...$57 so hopefully I can fix it myself. Any one have tips on how to do this?
Thanks

Re: squeeling blower motor??

Eventhough the bearings can go bad of the blower motor, it can also be that some foreign material is laying on top of the blower motor, causing the noise. Removing the blower motor is very easy. The blower motor sits in the HVAC housing and you can see it when looking up in the passengers side footwell area. Just one connector and 3 screws and it comes out.
