strange noise

My 04 WJ make a noise thats sounds like I am going over rumble strips. Usually happens between 30 & 45 mph, on winding roads. Sounds like it is coming from the right rear.

Re: strange noise

When a bearing fails it can cause a rumble, you may be looking at an axle bearing or differential bearing. Clearly because you have it narrowed to the RR I would suspect an axle bearing but I am sure it could be numerous other things.

Re: strange noise

I have a 2 month of Jeep Grand Cherokee and I am having the same problem. I also have the vibration in the steering wheel with the noise. I can also feel it in the gas pedal. I think it may be the wheel barrings because I had the same problem with an older vehicle. But this is a new car!!

Re: strange noise

Its a mass produced vehicle. Sometimes parts are manufactured poorly or an assembler messed something up. That's what warranties are for. Vibration/ noise is not normal so take the car in for service at your dealer.
