I also checked the manual again and came to the same conclusion as you did but still haven't found out what year they changed this.

Luckely for me now it's easy to change and i won't have to take out the complete dash.

I also find out it's often called an ac cycling switch.

Last week i went to dealer they had to check out what kind off switch i needed unfortunally haven't heared anything from them yet.
I will go there tommorow and tell them what we find out.
If this doesn't work i try to order one on the internet.

I will let you know if the problem is solved afer changing the switch.

I changed the switch on the accumulator(dryer) a few days ago.
Till know everything is working ok.
It seems that the problem is solved.

Good to hear that you could solve it yourself. And now at least we know that there are some minor differences between the several model years. Good that you found this out before taking the whole dash out and then discovering that there is no evaporator temp sensor on yours .
