Re: Taillights out!!! please help

Do you turnsignals work? Does your Reverse? If could be the sockets where you put the bulbs in and screw it into the Tailights.

Sometimes they go bad. I had a few problems with the little Metal Tab. It wasn't grounding properly so I had to get a flat head screw driver and fix the little metal tab.

Re: Taillights out!!! please help

I haven't had the problem, but have fixed it for others. In most cased it seems to be when the lights are on you step on the brake and all the tail lights go out.

It's the contact points as mentioned above. I would check and cleean the contacts. some people have put aluminium foil on the warn contact causing the problem.

Re: Taillights out!!! please help

When both tail lights went out at the same time, i wonder if the problem would be with the sockets. When the license plate lights are out as well, your problem is more likely a blown fuse (fuse 6, 15 A, on the junction block under the steering wheel) or the park lamp relay, also on the junction block.

Re: Taillights out!!! please help

If it's not a blown fuse it may be the wiring. I had the same problem in the 92 full size Blazer I used to have. Ended up having to re-do the wiring.
