Re: Throttle stuck open help

There is a spring that makes the flap in the tb close. Maybe that is broken. Where the throttle cable gets connected it there. Also make sure there are no vacuum lines off or cracked. Also make sure the sensors connected to the TB are still there and in tact.

Re: Throttle stuck open help

I had this problem on my WK after installing the 08 manifold. It turns out the egr tube wasnt sealing on the manifold and was popping out. It caused my rpms to race to 3300-3500 rpm's at start up. I advise you to check all vacuum hoses.

Re: Throttle stuck open help

Ok I figured out what the problem was and temperarly fixed it. the problem was that the seal for the resinator thingy that sit's on the throttle body hadn't been fited properly and the seal riped and was getting stuck in the flapy thing of the throttle body.

so if someone can give me the part # of this seal would be greatly appericeated.

Re: Throttle stuck open help

Bad Throttle position sensor? (if so it needs to be "learned" after install by someone with an advanced scanner)

no, sorry I don't have any pics, but it's the seal that sits on top of the throttle body.
