Re: Throttle stuck open help

I'll put up a pic of the engine if that's what you meant...

it goes inbetween the throttle body and the resinator thingy.

Re: Throttle stuck open help

It looks like two rubber bands and there's a slightly smaller one inside the other that goes around the throttle body.

well both go around the throttle body but the smaller one goes inside the resinator and the bigger one wraps around the resinator base thing.

Re: Throttle stuck open help

allright you can do three things. you can go to the dealer and get a new one. some guys i knew when i went wheeling actaully made there own seal to keep water from leaking in because those seals where prone to leaking badly. they used 4 thick rubber bands that fit tight around teh opening of the TB and then use one of those silver screw on clamps thats used on the ducting and tighten in really good. or get a new intake and do away with it all together. it would be an excuse to get a K&N!

Re: Throttle stuck open help

How thick do you think these rubber bands were? I might be able to get ahold of one. Did they just use the stock tightening thingy.
