Re: Tranny belt adjustment?

My theory is don't fix nothin' that ain't broke. Band adjustments are a pretty precise procedure involving inch pound torque wrenches and adjustment bolts that are that are almost always a pain in the @ss to see or reach.

Re: Tranny belt adjustment?

If the transmission is shifting ok as it is I would just replace the fluid and filter, you need to be very precise in adjusting the bands to ensure the transmission shifts properly.

Re: Tranny belt adjustment?

Eventhough i agree with you guys to " donīt fix nothin that aint broke", the bands adjustment is part of the normal maintenance schedule. You can decide not to do it, but the bands wear over time and can start slipping when the adjustment is not right. The decision is yours, the procedures at least are attached.
