Or if the solenoid would draw more current due to switching a higher line pressure, it could still have to do with a resistance problem in the connector.
If the problem comes back, that would be the first thing i would check, and it would only cost some time and contact cleaner.
I plan on checking that connector as soon as I can get under her. She drove fantastic for 4 hours out to my sister in laws this weekend with a car full of people and stuff, but then kicked the code returning to her house from a short trip into town.(with mileage tune on, which didn't seem to make much difference) I cleared it, (and went back to stock tune) and she drove great again all the way home, dropped off my other sister in law and niece, and the code came back on the way from there home (just a few miles). Seems to happen always when shifting a lot in around town driving, but is fine on steady highway driving. A connector issue would definitely make sense if it is getting a bad signal when shifting. I will check it out ASAP. Thanks for the help!

Re: Transmission code P0750

On the highway the tranny almost doesn't have to shift gears, so more likely that you won't get any failures. That the problem returns while driving into town, can have to do with the connector, but also with the solenoid itself. Connector is the easiest to start with.

Re: Transmission code P0750

Aaron I hope it doesn't come to that but if you do have to change the solenoid pack you're only seven small screws away from installing a Transgo kit and a very much improved tranny. You'll hate yourself forever if you don't do it then. If you hate yourself forever you'll become depressed. If you become depressed you'll go play racquetball. If you go play racquetball you'll end up with an eye patch. If you end up with an eye patch people will think you're a tough guy. If people think you're a tough guy you'll end up laying in a ditch. Don't end up laying in a ditch get the Transgo kit

Re: Transmission code P0750

Ok Dave, I promise if I have to go in and replace the solenoid pack I will get the transgo, if for any reason to avoid the whole lying in a ditch problem.

In other news, I went under the Jeep today and found the harness. It seemed ok but I pulled it off, sprayed it with some electronics cleaner and upon inspection it appeared ok. I sealed it back up and it seems ok. I went ahead and put the 87 octane tune back on, since that didn't seem to make a difference. While I was at it..... wait for it........

I pulled the TCM plug and snipped the torque management wire! :woot:

I love the way it WOT downshifts now when passing, etc.

Overall everything seems fine now, time will tell if the code comes back. If it doesn't I may have to pull the valve body and put in the transgo anyway.

Re: Transmission code P0750

Well, another week has gone by and still no more problems. I will be going on a 7 hour drive to Michigan next week, so I'm hoping no more problems. If I do I will be getting the shift solenoid and transgo, if its still fine I might do the transgo anyway! Which kit is it that you used Dave, I have seen 2 models. One they call a shift kit, the other a programming kit. I see it says the reprogramming kit comes with a resistor that doesn't work with aftermarket programmers (I have a superchips) and it says to get the shift kit if using a programmer.
