Re: transmission error p0700

The P0700 code means that the transmission controller has set a fault. Some transmission faults will show up in the PCM. It needs to be scanned with a scanner capable of showing the TCM faults. If you have the code(s) we can help you further. Which engine is in your jeep?

Re: transmission error p0700

Ok, then it has the 5-45RFE transmission in it. How exactly did the problem start and is it still driveable (forward and rearward?) Besides checking for faults in the TCM, also have a look at the transmission fluid level and smell/color of the fluid. Was the fluid changed lately?
A DRBIII scanner would be best, but many garage scanners can show the TCM faults as well.

Re: transmission error p0700

Did you check the fluid level?
This could be a split oval inlet filter, the pump will then only get air. Also well known is a detached inlet filter, but that mostly happens shortly after fluid and filters are changed.
