Re: Transmission issue

Nevermind. It didn't actually solve the issue. So back to square one

Re: Transmission issue

So you still get the trans overtemp lt on? And only after being stopped for some time and starting again? Because it seems to be a transmission temperature related problem, it could be internally to the transmission, but also a problem inside the PCM. But you have to be sure that the wiring is ok first, it could have a problem at some others point.
But the fact that the isolation of the wire was removed, is already a sign that something was going on and that they where trying to find the problem.

Re: Transmission issue

Right. I mean its the same as before. But now that I've replaced that section of wire the vehicle has started to run a little rough. Could the temperature of the engine And the possible faulty reading.cause.it to run rough

Re: Transmission issue

You have to check where the wire bundle goes to, because it could go for example also to an O2 sensor.

Re: Transmission issue

Well the rough idle And everything went away. Must've been from pulling the battery off. I think I read somewhere that the o2 sensors are also tied into the same bundle.

Re: Transmission issue

No it still hasn't been solved. I've been dealing with it for now. Hopefully when i get some time off I'm just going to hook up a transmission cooler. It definitely wouldn't hurt
