Transmission shifting problems on 2003 GC

My transmission is throwing off codes P1757 and P1762. Regarding the governor control system and a pressure problem. The transmission won't change out of 1st gear in 2 or 3. It's becoming more often. Sometimes I'll shut off the car and wait and it will shift normally.

Has anyone experienced this on a 2003 GC and what is the recommended fix.
Please advise..
Steve

Re: Transmission shifting problems on 2003 GC

I read up on this when I was having transmission problems with my WK assuming I read the right article it's the solenoids on your valve body that tend to go out, there are pressure controlled solenoids that just give out in time, you will have to drop your transmission pan, drop the valvle body, replace the solenoids, and while ur at it replace ur filter and gasket and add some more tranny fluid ... try searching on google for the layout of the valve body to determine which solenoid is the one that correlates for the governor pressure control.

I found this nifty little article that explains it all google search is a good way to find things out
