Thanks Dave. Yeh, the taxes here suck big time. Still waiting for the master kit to come in, so there is not that much what i can do now. Probably tomorrow i do the valve body and then i have to wait for the master kit to arrive. I do miss driving my jeep............

Re: Transmission slipping

Bought a second car to bring me around, so the bike is just for the fun again. The weather however is very nice for the bike though. We are in the wintertime, which means no rain and the temperatures during the day are around the 28 C. After sunset the temps drop rapidly to around 18 C.

Re: Transmission slipping

So here follow some pics of the oil pump. On the first pic you can see how black the fluid became, the next pic after the cleaning. The last pic shows the valves in the pump housing: 1 = TCC (Torque Converter Clutch) control valve, 2 = TCC accumulator piston, 3 = TCC switch valve, 4 = TCC limit valve and 5 = main pressure regulator valve.

Re: Transmission slipping

Did the valve body cleaning some days ago and put the Transgo stuff inside. The only strange thing i observed where the accumulator pistons who had signs of pitting around half the head circumference. Looks like cavitation caused this, but donīt know why. Polished them as good as possible.
Eventhough the manual says to better not open the TRS solenoid assy, i thought i better do it, because of all of the aluminum which went through the whole tranny.
Was not that bad by the way and now its clean and with some fresh drops of tranny fluid.
First pic is showing the split valve body before cleaning.
The second pic shows one of the accumulator pistons with the pitted head.
The third pic shows partly the internals of the TRS/solenoid assy.

Re: Transmission slipping

Ok, good and bad news: the good one is that the master kit arrived today, the bad news is that the solenoid block gasket is not in there.
Now i have to see where i can find that gasket.

Re: Transmission slipping

Yikes, good luck finding the gasket, and getting it to Brazil. I'd think "master" kit would be fairly inclusive.

That was what i was thinking as well. The text mentioned that all parts for a rebuild should be in there. . I found the gasket in the meantime, they only don't ship out of the USA/Canada. Well, have to look further i think.

Re: Transmission slipping

Finished the 2C/4C clutch retainer today. New seals on the pistons and new frictions/steels in the 4C clutch. Already installed the 2C/4C clutch retainer in the tranny housing to measure the play with the new 2C frictions/steels. With one extra steel behind the pressure plate to compensate for the aluminum which was removed by the wrongly mounted clutch, there was no play at all on the clutch. So now i have to take the steel plate and let it grind down a bit (around 0.70 mm) to end up with the specified play. Will be continued. (pictures will follow)
