Unknown rubber hose dangling

I was replacing the front driver side brake line and saw this hose just hanging there. There looks to be another one like it up higher couldn't get a picture. Any ideas?

Re: Unknown rubber hose dangling

What's the other end attached to?

My first thoughts are a/c or maybe radiator tank overflow.

Re: Unknown rubber hose dangling

Looks as a drain line from the battery or battery tray.
But indeed, look to what it is attached to.

Re: Unknown rubber hose dangling

Front diff vent hose. There is a white plastic nipple on top of the diff that it should be hooked to.

You need a new pinion seal

I was thinking about the front diff vent hose, but why would the hose be cut at an angle? Looks more as the end of a vent/drain hose.

New pinion seal is in the near future. I just keep topping off the differential every few weeks until I determine it's stalling problem. Lol

Did you find where the hose is from?
