Question vibration when making tight turns in parking lots

I need some input on the vibration problem I have when making a tight turns at low speeds. I am not sure if this is a transfer case issue or a differential issue. several posts I've read say all I need to do is change out the differential fluid. has anyone else had the same problem and if so what are your solutions?

thanks

Re: vibration when making tight turns in parking lots

Check the fluid levels in TC, always good to give it some fresh fluid but if looking ok try adding some friction modifier in there as well. Also do the diffs and add the friction modifier. Take it for a drive and get it up to temperature, then do some slow figure of 8's that should ease things out.
If when checking the fluid you see shiney metalic stuff in the fluid then you have bigger problems.

Hope you get it sorted quick, easy and cheap!

Re: vibration when making tight turns in parking lots

Thanks for the advice. I think I will go ahead and change out the fluids. I have 167,000 miles on this Jeep and I know the diffs fluid have never been changed out. I'm betting its a little past due. The TC was replaced back at around 90k miles because Jiffy Lube left the plug off when checking fluidand it went bone dry without me knowing until it was too late. An expensive lesson learned about quick lubes. I'll let you know if this solves the issue.

thanks again.
