washer motors

Hey folks. I am brand new to this site so please forgive me if this material has been covered already. I just purchased a 2000 JGC and I noticed that the washer fluid for the front and back window does not work. This seems to me that it might be a pump issue. I dont hear it "buzzing" when I push or pull the washer lever. Any ideas. I really appreciate any suggestions. Thanx.
Tito

Re: washer motors

The pump is probably dead, and I believe you need to remove the inner fender well to get to the bottom of the tank where the pump is.

Re: washer motors

There are 2 washer motors, so it would be strange when both are broken at the same time. They use both the same fuse though, a 10 Amp one at pos 29. (at least it is like this on my WJ 2004). Check that first before removing anything.
