Re: water in driverside floor under carpet

check for rust on the underside as this would be a symptom of long term water damage...if there is crack or hole or rust-age on underside, could be a chance everytime you drive when it rains it just worsens...

Re: water in driverside floor under carpet

That sounds like a sunroof drain issue like Svenska said. I've had to fix this on a WK and KJ already. They get clogged up with goop or begin to leak right where they meet the sunroof assembly. I've had good luck with removing the drain tube, blowing out any funk, and re-installing with a typical worm-drive hose clamp. You could also have water collecting in the cowl between the hood and windshield. a few screws and that comes off too. You'll probably find some slime in there. Lastly, I'd check the passenger's side door seals, and then peel back the carpet to see if the floor is in good shape.

X2! That's why I don't have a fender antenna anymore. Filled up the passenger side twice. As everyone has said the sunroof drains are often the culprit too but if you don't have one the antenna lead is the first place I'd check.
