Re: Wet Floorboard, NOT Antifreeze

It is raining today. I see water coming in from the right side kick panel.
Doesnt look like antenna, but its too high up there where I cant see.
I'm getting close to narrowing this down.
Thanks for all the help and input guys.

Re: Wet Floorboard, NOT Antifreeze

UPDATE:

I found the leak. The water was coming from the roof rail bolt holes. Three of them were loose and two of the bolts are rusted.
I have tested to see if water is coming from those places and verified that it IS the roof rails.
Put some teflon tape on bolts and filled holes with waterproof silicone and reinstalled the rail bolts.
Lets hope it works.

Did that do the trick?

Well, yes and no.
It piss-poured rain yesterday. So after the rain stopped, I pulled carpet. There was a little water. Last night when I got home, I did the hose test. I had my wife hold the hose over the bolts and I watched to see which one allowed water inside the Jeep. Seems I didnt put enough teflon tape up far enough on the bolts. Going to retape bolts today after it thaws out.
One of the bolts will need to be replaced, but I am positive the roof rail bolts are leaking.
