Definitely do not get a capacitor, they are bad news for your electrical system. As mentioned above, go with a simple 8 gauge power kit... I'd skip the Walmart stuff for feat that there is more sleeving than actual wire. check out www.knukonceptz.com - they have some nice shit on the cheap.

I dont know what brand wire walmart sells but stick with name brand. Lightning audio, rockford, tsunami, stinger, monster cable, all are good quality amp kits.

well i talked to some more people, they told me to splice into the ignition wire. can i get a diagram? or can someone tell me?

why on earth would you want to do that when we have given you plenty of simple and correct ways to wire the remote lead already!!?

Ignition wire is fine, but difficulty is probably higher with it. Tap into a cigarette or 12v power wire (obviously the + or hot wire). I tapped into the cig lighter. It's not necessary, but you may want to fuse it at the point of connection with the source... 3 amp inline is fine.

You can tag acc behind the radio if you must but stock amp turn on is best. If you can test for acc you can test for amp turn on
