Question Wiindshield Fogs up

My 2002 grand cherokee has problems wiht the windshield fogging up. It is sitting in the garage right now and the windows are fogged up. Hasnt been anywhere today. Have cleaned the windshield and am getting ready to replace the cabin air filter. I cant find any water in the vehicle. No anti-freeze smell either in the cabin. Any ideas? Thanks

Re: Wiindshield Fogs up

its just like when you drive, the air gets stall in and windows get foggy.
just crack one window a little and should help

was the sun hitting it or temp change

Re: Wiindshield Fogs up

It could be your heater core is starting to leak, even though you don't smell it yet. Try running the defroster for a while and see if it dries out and stops fogging up, if it does not stop and gets even more humid inside, good chance it is the heater core.

But if it is just fogged up from sitting in the garage with something a little wet inside, it will clear up fairly fast with the defroster. Sometimes I will leave a damp jacket or something in the vehicle and with it closed up the windows will fog up until I run the defrost a little.
