Windows not rolling down

Hi all, i got a buddy with an 04 GC I-6. Seems his door windows dont roll down and i figure this may be a common problem and a relatively easy fix, i guess as long as its not wires. Anybody got any fixes for this problem? thanks all.

Re: Windows not rolling down

Let him check the wire loom inside the drivers door boot for a broken wire. Some of the wires are quite thick and rigid and will break after opening/closing the door many times.

Re: Windows not rolling down

thanks. im trying to get a list together of things i should be looking for because honestly im gonna be the one to fix it and i dont have time for all the trouble shooting. i know these all usually go bad in the same way. i know a couple other people with the same problem and i think this has happened before on this car.

Re: Windows not rolling down

I had to repair this on my WJ and it was repaired before. Not hard but takes some time.

Yes it turns out that was the issue. He said it looks like it has been repaired before and it used to be my gf's car that then was given to her bro. I remember it had this same problem before. Thanks fir the help.
