I have the Pioneer AVH-5100 DVD (They came out with a newer model apparently but Im pretty sure you can find these and older models still for sale). Its a 7 inch flip out touchscreen. Personally I love the full screen headunits. My headunit is non GPS, I already have a portable. I like it a lot since selecting things are on a bigger screen rather than compacted to a small space. I mean I plan on eventually getting a rear view camera and bluetooth module which will really set off my headunit but right now I love it and it does the job. The iPod interface is excellent.

I'll be honest I have no clue about HD Radio, regular old radio is fine for me when I do listen to it That Jensen is a nice headunit. One question do you plan on eventually upgrading speakers and/or adding subs?

Re: wj alarm systems

Haha yeah Im trying to find that happy medium of getting a nice sound (sound quality w/ some good bass I have no interest blowing off my windows) and keep as much cargo space as I can. Im still thinking about it though. I wouldn't rush buying if your not too sure. Analyze what exactly your going to use it for and whether it will be practical.

Re: wj alarm systems

as far as the alarm they are the same exact things dei has different brands so they can zone their products i.e. the best buy sells viper but the shop next door sells Clifford.

as far as getting better sound the first thing i would do is upgrade the factory hu and add a 4channel amp. sound deaden the doors and you will be surprised on how great your setup will sound. people have mentioned how loud my subs are even when they've been off or not even in my car.

i have the HD radio with my kenwood, I like it. It sounds nice and really clear i mean really clear and HD like lol. The FM turns into cd quality and the AM turns into FM quality, Plus its free. and most of the stations around me have 2 diffrent stations on the same channel. and i agree i would grab you a nice lil 4 channel amp to replace the stock one...

Re: wj alarm systems

I'm looking to get an alarm/remote starter in my WJ also. I have a Viper 791xv in my galant and I never had a problem with it. A good friend of mine installed it for me. He recently got a Viper 5701 for his car, and installed it and highly recommends it. I just miss the remote starter, lmao. I haven't been without one since 2001. I will most likely pick up the 5701 before the summer and let my friend install it
