Re: WJ Cylinder 4 misfire mystery.
It's not a mystery but a major flaw that Chrysler doesn't fully want to acknowledge.
I got my first 2011 Grand Cherokee in January 2011. About a year later I had two cylinder misfires that had to get fixed. After being without my car for almost a month, that got fixed. The same issue came up within 10K miles. (The dealer told me I drive too much.)
I had THE MOST MISERABLE experience with Chrysler customer care before I decided to get the 2012, which was supposed to be fixed. I, basically, paid for a new car less the trade-in value. That sucks.
After about 10K miles I had the same issue again. It got fixed and now at 30K miles I have the same issue again.
I can't be this unlucky. The car must be a piece of crap.
