wj diesel engine type

Hi, Can someone please tell me what engine is fitted to my 2003 WJ . I think it is a 5 cyl. OM647 Mercedes CRD engine. The reason I have to identify it is that I have to buy new Bosch injectors. I cant afford genuine jeep ones.
I have Bosch numbers 35-00878 and they suit the OM647 engine but I have to be sure as I am getting them from England.

Re: wj diesel engine type

I know it should have the Mercedes 5 cylinder engine, but don´t know the engine number. Is it not written anywhere on the engine itself?

Smile Re: wj diesel engine type

Hi Frank, No its not i believe. It will make a huge difference if i can confirm it somehow. The price that Jeep charge for its parts here in Australia is rediculous. The same part from a Mercedes dealer is a lot less. So if i go into a Mercedes dealer i cant just tell them its a Jeep. But if i say its a Mercedes OM--- then i have a chance.

Cheers
Kerry
