But what happens to the joints, does it start making noises due wear?
Is your jeep quadra drive? I imagine that something is wrong inside the T-case, which creates lots of stress on the whole driveline and breaks the weakest part. Is the T-case filled with the special Mopar fluid (Mobil 424)?
If for example the progressive coupler in the T-case internally jams, then there will be a fixed speed to both front and rear prop shafts. If there is even a little bit of difference in wear between the front and the rear tires, then it would cause a lot of strain in the driveline.
It can be something else ofcourse, but breaking the joint twice, points to abnormal strain in the driveline.
